If you're going on vacation or a business trip then the chances
are you're going to need to take advantage of an international car rental. The good news is that this works similar to renting a car at
home, though there are certain factors you'll need to consider in order
to get the best deal.
The first thing you should do is try to book
in advance. Whilst this isn't always possible, it's a good idea if you
really want to save some money on your car rental. This is also
especially important if you are traveling to a popular destination at
peak times, where a lot of the best car rental deals are likely to be
fully booked in advance.
When you do leave then you should make
sure you have all of the documents and licenses you will need. You are
going to need to take a credit card as well as your driving license to
be able to drive in another country. You should also check what the age
limits are, as in many countries you may not be able to rent a car under
the age of 21 - and most companies have a limit of 25. If you are
younger than this you should expect to pay a higher premium for your rental.
An international car rental really isn't that different to
renting at home. Just make sure you understand all of the terms of your
rental, and how you have to return the car. Make sure you check through
all the terms and conditions so you know what you are agreeing to.
