Always Go With Chevrolet When Deciding On A Car

automotivenewcar.blogspot.com
If you're in the market for a new vehicle, you know that you'll spend plenty of time trying to decide on the different types and brands. If you're looking for an American-made car from a company that has a proven track record of building some of the best vehicles on today's roads, why not give Chevrolet a try? They offer vehicles in a wide range of types, from sport utility vehicles to two door sports cars. An industry leader for years, they know what it takes to build cars that are guaranteed to be bestsellers. Regardless what kind of car you desire, you can always count on this legendary American company to offer you great cars at fair, affordable prices.

If you're looking to purchase a Chevrolet car, there's no reason not to head to your local dealership and give a few cars a test drive. When going to one of these dealerships, you can expect to be greeted by a staff that will treat you like more than just a customer. They realize that they have the chance to build a long-term relationship with every person who walks through the front door. Take advantage of this opportunity to give multiple cars test drives, even if you already have a certain style in mind. You should also use this initial period to tell the salesperson what kind of attributes you desire from a good car.

They can give you some suggestions of what kind of car will best fit your lifestyle. If you're also thinking about purchasing some advanced accessories, you'll be given the chance to play around with some of the latest safety and driving technologies. The salesperson will be eager to let you learn about every nook and cranny in the car

The great thing about buying from the Chevrolet brand is that you're not the only person who has gone down the same route. In 2012, the Malibu and the Cruze were both in the top ten best selling cars in the United States. As a result, you likely know somebody who has owned the same car you're interested in, just from a different year. Ask your friends and family about what they like the most about their vehicles. They can also recommend you a dealership that has a good reputation of treating its customers with respect.

If you think that you're ready to test drive some cars, make an appointment with your local dealership. You know that the negotiation process takes time, so understand that the employees are willing to work with you to get a price on a Chevrolet vehicle that will work for you. If you plan on financing the car, they can work with you to secure a loan with a reasonable amount for a monthly payment. Their goal is to get you behind the wheel as soon as possible, as long as you're interested. Just don't forget to ask as many questions as you can during the process, as becoming familiar with the car cannot hurt.

Ferrari California Made Its Official Debut

The latest Ferrari California, 2+ convertible, had a very special "test-driver" behind its wheel the last few days as the Prancing Horse President Luca di Montezemolo put it through its paces over several laps at the Fiorano circuit.

"I am very satisfied indeed with the work that the women and men of Ferrari have done," declared Luca di Montezemolo. "The California is an extraordinary car and I was delighted with the performance, comfort and driving pleasure it delivered. The California is, like all of our models, the epitome of cutting-edge innovation. Its gearbox, suspensions and chassis are the most advanced possible.

This is the first dual-purpose Spider/Coupe with a retractable hard top that closes in just 14 seconds. Despite its extraordinary performance, the California 2+ is also exceptionally easy to drive and has a space behind the front seats that makes it supremely flexible in terms of usage."
The latest photographs of the new Pininfarina-styled retractable hard top convertible released today show it with its top closed and in an Azzurro California livery. Azzurro California was the color chosen for the legendary 1960s spider’s appearance at the New York Auto Show in 1962 and proved one of the firm favorites with owners of that model too. Like the rest of the current Prancing Horse range, the Ferrari California has been aerodynamically designed to deliver significant down force values – 70 kg at 200 Km/h, in fact.

This is the first time too that the new 7-speed dual clutch has been used on a Ferrari auto body parts. This technology is the fruit of in-depth gear shifting systems research by the Scuderia Ferrari. The system utilized on the Ferrari California cuts the gear shifting time to zero and enhances to the utmost the car’s performance in terms of comfort and drivability.

Performance is further boosted by the new Launch Control button which when hit delivers blistering high performance starts by ensuring correct torque delivery and preventing tire spin during acceleration.

The auto body parts are 4560 mm in length, 1900 mm wide and a wheel base of 2700 mm. The luggage capacity of the Ferrari California provides further proof of the versatility of this latest addition to the Prancing Horse range: when the roof is up, the boot has a 360-litre capacity and a 260 liter capacity when it is down.

For the first time on a Prancing Horse car, the boot and cabin communicate directly, allowing a choice of luggage configurations to be used. Particular attention was also paid to fuel a consumption level which in the case of the ECE combined cycle is 13.2 l/100 km with CO2 emission levels of around 310 g/km.

International Car Rental

If you're going on vacation or a business trip then the chances are you're going to need to take advantage of an international car rental. The good news is that this works similar to renting a car at home, though there are certain factors you'll need to consider in order to get the best deal.
The first thing you should do is try to book in advance. Whilst this isn't always possible, it's a good idea if you really want to save some money on your car rental. This is also especially important if you are traveling to a popular destination at peak times, where a lot of the best car rental deals are likely to be fully booked in advance.
When you do leave then you should make sure you have all of the documents and licenses you will need. You are going to need to take a credit card as well as your driving license to be able to drive in another country. You should also check what the age limits are, as in many countries you may not be able to rent a car under the age of 21 - and most companies have a limit of 25. If you are younger than this you should expect to pay a higher premium for your rental.
An international car rental really isn't that different to renting at home. Just make sure you understand all of the terms of your rental, and how you have to return the car. Make sure you check through all the terms and conditions so you know what you are agreeing to.

Automotive Painting And Refinishing

It’s the first thing you see and often the subconscious driving force in choosing an automobile – manufacturers learned long ago that we buy with our eyes. They say don’t judge a book by its cover but the quality and colour of a car’s finish go a long way in determining a vehicle’s appeal. Painting a car combines mechanical procedures with artistic talent and can be one of the most time-consuming and expensive automobile projects. Three quarters of the cost of building a car plant is put into the painting system. A paint job is really a multi-step process leading up to the final polish and takes a lot of patience and perfectionism.

Automotive painting can be done at home but with the time and expense involved, most will turn to a professional. Automotive refinishing technicians are specially trained for all types of paint jobs, whether it’s a custom design, restoration work or due to a collision. Today’s paint systems are better than ever – no longer containing volatile pollutants or lacquer. Refinishing requires calculating how much paint is needed, mixing paint to match existing colours exactly, and blending paint to the correct thickness. A meticulous eye is needed for colour matching and fine-finishing details.

Automotive painting requires a workspace with excellent ventilation and lighting, minimal dust, electrical access and sufficient space to move around the vehicle. If you’re thinking of doing it in your garage, better put down a sheet of plastic and make sure there aren’t furnaces or water heaters that could cause ignition of paint fumes. The first step is removing rust and repairing dents so there is a solid foundation, which may mean replacing entire panels. After body filler is applied, sand down to the bare metal if possible and clean all surfaces thoroughly to ensure no oils are left on the car. Snap-off removable chrome or plastic moldings and cover with masking tape and paper the surfaces not to be painted.

The automotive painting itself starts by priming the surface with a corrosion resistant primer until it is smooth and giving enough time for the primer to cure. Sand delicately and clean the primed surface before spraying the finish paint, thinned correctly and applied by cleaned high volume, low pressure (HVLP) spray guns. Prep and safety are vital to the final process – complete paint suits, goggles and respirators are highly recommended. The paint may take up to a week to fully cure before the final sanding process can begin. Finally, a rubbing compound is used to polish the paint and bring out a glossy finish. Be cautious with buffing machines and consider spending the extra time to polish by hand.

Automotive painters have the proper training to create finished products that meet the high standards of car owners. They are skilled in painting and refinishing all parts of the car and fixing damaged areas, often working with other members of an auto body shop, like the auto mechanic.
